Greasing the Wheels!
Wow, what a hectic couple of weeks! Not only did we have a lot of great feedback to look through and build upon, but this is also a transition period for many of us. As school season approaches for most of us, many of us are beginning to move into our places for the year, or head home one last time before hitting the books. That aside, we’ve managed to make some pretty great progress during this time.
The process this time around began with sorting through the feedback we received (thank you Early Alpha testers!) and making sure we we’re on the right track. One of the most common marks we received was that players liked where it was going, but it didn’t feel quite right yet. We couldn’t agree more. That being said, we were met with an interesting decision for the public Alpha: either add more content while tweaking up a few things; or take what was already there, and pour all of our time into making sure that it all felt “right”. Ultimately we chose the latter option, and I’m oh so glad we did.
So while you won’t be seeing a plethora of new content in this new build (to be released within the week), you should see an increase in playability. Everything from programming to art, it’s all being revamped to create a more cohesive experience. We hope that you to can appreciate this decision, and recognize that after we reach that “right” feeling, it will open up the floodgates to a bunch of new content for the beta.
Again I’d like to thank everyone for their support and interest in the project, I look forward to sharing a sample of what we’ve been working on with all of you! Stay tuned for more updates on the Alpha’s release, and have a great week!
